We would like to introduce you to Wink. This adorable little guy lost his eye to an unknown trauma – we don’t know the details, but it must have been serious as his eye was surgically removed shortly before he came to us here at Verde Valley Humane Society. Unfortunately, not long after Wink arrived, he suffered a serious complication that required a second, expensive surgery on the same eye. Thanks to donations from valued supporters like you, we were able to provide Wink the eye surgery he desperately needed and the follow-up care to make sure his recovery was successful. Thank you.
Wink’s recovery was long and difficult, but through it all, Wink was a trooper – always greeting everyone with a smile and a wagging tail. He never let his discomfort, or the loss of his eye, stop him from enjoying life and happily greeting everyone he met. During Wink’s recovery, he fell in love with a special toy – an adorable, oversized hotdog in a bun. To this day, Wink and his hotdog are inseparable. We are pleased to announce that thanks to you, Wink (and his hotdog) are now living the good life in a loving home with a family that adores him.
Won’t you please help us saves more lives by making a tax-deductible donation, so we can continue to care for pets like Wink?
Last year we saved nearly 1,200 dogs, cats, puppies and kittens – many at risk for immediate euthanasia at overcrowded shelters in the Valley. Many need extensive medical care for traumatic injuries, life-threatening illnesses, orthopedic conditions, or advanced dental disease, in addition to spay or neuter surgeries, deworming, and vaccinations. Year-after-year, medical care continues to be our largest program expense! In 2017 alone, we spent over $ 54,000 providing essential veterinary care for the homeless pets at VVHS.
Your donation today will help us continue our life-saving work by providing routine and extraordinary medical care for the many pets here at VVHS – pets like The Royal Sisters – Princess and Duchess, 11-year-old sisters who both desperately need an expensive dental procedure so they can find a new loving home together, or Lizzy, a stunning Shepherd mix who sustained an gruesome injury to her paw, or Grady, an loveable little terrier who came in with a horrible wound to his face that needed immediate treatment.
We need your help now to raise $10,000 by August 31st. It’s easy to help! Donate online on our website at www.VerdeValleyHumaneSociety.org, direct via Facebook at Facebook.com/VerdeValleyHumaneSociety, in person Monday thru Saturday 10 am to 5 pm, or by mail using the coupon below.

We would like to thank all of the supporters and friends of the Verde Valley Humane Society for their commitment to providing essential funds to our shelter and adoption center. Your donations enable us to give vital medical assistance to animals in need, provide and care for the animals, and give every animal in our care the chance to find a loving home. We are dedicated to making this a reality for as many dogs and cats as possible.
